Fluent in Italian? Any corrections or suggestions with the letter I am writing to my Italian professor?
I am writing a letter to my Italian professor and asking her if she wouldn’t mind writing a letter of recommendation for me. However, before sending it I want to be sure the spelling is correct and I am writing to her in the proper way (Lei). Any help or suggestions from fluent Italian speakers would be greatly appreciated. Grazie mille.

Buongiorno Professoressa! Come sta?
Sono tornata a New York. Ed ora che ho fatto un giro d’Europa, sono sicura che vorrei studiare in Italia.
Come l’ho già detto: l’Italia è il paese più bello che ho visto!
Onestamente, penso che è una cosa che devo fare e sento che questo cambierà la mia vita.
Sono pronta ad inscrivirmi all’universita ma ho bisogno di una lettera di raccomandazione.
Vorrei sapere se potrebbe scrivermene una. Lo apprezzerei moltissimo.

It sounds good, but I think that you should change the part where you say "Let me know i you can rite one." That sounds a bit, um, rough. Say something like "If you could write one, please let me know: Se si potrebbe scrivere uno, fatemelo sapere"
