I am writing a letter to my Italian professor and asking her if she wouldn’t mind writing a letter of recommendation for me. However, before sending it I want to be sure the spelling is correct and I am writing to her in the proper way (Lei). Any help or suggestions from fluent Italian speakers would be greatly appreciated. Grazie mille.

Gentile Professoressa Tiberi,

Buongiorno Professoressa! Come sta?
Sono tornata a New York.

What cyclists have won the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia, and the Vuelta a Espana in their career (doesn’t have to be in the same year)?

1)Which Family do you think is the greatest in wrestling history?
2)Which family is your favorite?

…and why? (best pick and reason 10 points)
-The Ortons
-The Armstrongs (ie. Brad, B.G. James)
-The Mavias-Johnson (Rocky Johnson, The Rock, Rikishi, Meng, Barbarian, Fatu)
-The Harts (Stu, Bret, British Bulldog, and Owen)
-The Rhodes (Dusty, Dustin, Cody)
-The Von Erichs(Lance , Kerry, Fritz)
-The Guerraros (Eddie, Hector, Chavo, Chavo jr)
-The Mc Mahons(Vince, Shane, Triple H)

*yes i know some of the names are married into the families rather than blood related
*Mine are the Guerraros because I’m from Houston and I grew up watching them on local promotions like WCCW, UWF, and Gilley’s

with the Giro D’italia only a few weeks off and Lance not now riding…I was wandering if there are some keen cycling fans out there….

firstly, of course,he must enjoy the 3rd place on this Tour of France

congratulations!!!

it’s impressive winning 7 consecutive Tours, leaving, and coming back again almost 4 years after at professional cycling, 3 tours without riding, and finishing 3rd at Tour

But this tour edition has been clear: Alberto Contador can be the next "Great Rider" in history. He’s superior. And then, the younger Andy Schlek, he’s a step up Armstrong and he can become even better.

so I don’t think Lance has to be fighting for the next Tour. There will be the pair of those guys, Contador with his own team, and Menchov, Sastre, Valverde… they can work for the Tour too. And you can’t forget Wiggins and Nibali. They are 2 new dangerous surprises.

Armstrong doesn’t have Giro in his wins, and at his coming back, after injury and short of physical training, he ended 12th this year edition.

so I reckon he should prepare for it, for winning it. It’ll be difficult, maybe he’s going to face Menchov, italian riders… but, the level is a step under Tour of France, so I think it would be great if he can get it.

I’d also give the chance to Vuelta a España next year

anyway cycling for pleasure is nice
